NWS NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER MIAMI FL
1100 AM PDT MON AUG 13 2012

FOR THE EASTERN NORTH PACIFIC...EAST OF 140 DEGREES WEST LONGITUDE..

THE NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER IS ISSUING ADVISORIES ON TROPICAL
STORM HECTOR...LOCATED ABOUT 365 MILES SOUTH-SOUTHWEST OF THE
SOUTHERN TIP OF BAJA CALIFORNIA.

A TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE LOCATED ALONG THE COAST OF MEXICO NEAR
PUERTO ESCONDIDO CONTINUES TO PRODUCE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS.
DEVELOPMENT OF THIS SYSTEM APPEARS LESS LIKELY DUE TO LAND
INTERACTION. THIS SYSTEM HAS A LOW CHANCE...10 PERCENT...OF
BECOMING A TROPICAL CYCLONE DURING THE NEXT 48 HOURS AS IT MOVES
WEST-NORTHWESTWARD AT AROUND 10 MPH.

ELSEWHERE...TROPICAL CYCLONE FORMATION IS NOT EXPECTED DURING THE
