FOR THE EASTERN NORTH PACIFIC...EAST OF 140 DEGREES WEST LONGITUDE..

THE NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER IS ISSUING ADVISORIES ON HURRICANE
MIRIAM...LOCATED ABOUT 415 MILES SOUTHWEST OF THE SOUTHERN TIP OF
BAJA CALIFORNIA.

AN AREA OF DISTURBED WEATHER HAS DEVELOPED A FEW HUNDRED MILES
SOUTH OF ACAPULCO MEXICO. ANY DEVELOPMENT OF THIS DISTURBANCE
DURING THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS SHOULD BE SLOW TO OCCUR DUE TO
STRONG UPPER-LEVEL WINDS. THIS SYSTEM HAS A LOW CHANCE...20
PERCENT...OF BECOMING A TROPICAL CYCLONE DURING THE NEXT 48 HOURS
AS IT MOVES WEST-NORTHWESTWARD AT 10 TO 15 MPH.

ELSEWHERE...TROPICAL CYCLONE FORMATION IS NOT EXPECTED DURING THE
NEXT 48 HOURS.
