NWS NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER MIAMI FL

FOR THE EASTERN NORTH PACIFIC...EAST OF 140 DEGREES WEST LONGITUDE..

THE NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER HAS ISSUED THE LAST ADVISORY ON
POST-TROPICAL CYCLONE MIRIAM...LOCATED ABOUT 440 MILES WEST OF THE
SOUTHERN TIP OF BAJA CALIFORNIA.

AN AREA OF LOW PRESSURE CENTERED ABOUT 125 MILES SOUTHEAST OF THE
SOUTHERN TIP OF BAJA CALIFORNIA IS PRODUCING A LARGE AREA OF
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WITHIN A FEW HUNDRED MILES OF THE COAST
OF WESTERN MEXICO. ALTHOUGH THE LOW IS EXPECTED TO MOVE INLAND
LATE FRIDAY...A TROPICAL CYCLONE COULD STILL FORM BEFORE THAT TIME.
THIS SYSTEM HAS A MEDIUM CHANCE...50 PERCENT...OF BECOMING A
TROPICAL CYCLONE DURING THE NEXT 48 HOURS AS IT MOVES NORTHWARD AT
ABOUT 15 MPH. LOCALLY HEAVY RAINS AND GUSTY WINDS ARE POSSIBLE
ALONG PORTIONS OF THE WEST COAST OF MEXICO AND THE SOUTHERN BAJA
PENINSULA DURING THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS.

ELSEWHERE...TROPICAL CYCLONE FORMATION IS NOT EXPECTED DURING THE
NEXT 48 HOURS.
