TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK
NWS NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER MIAMI FL
500 PM PDT TUE OCT 2 2012

FOR THE EASTERN NORTH PACIFIC...EAST OF 140 DEGREES WEST LONGITUDE..

A LARGE AREA OF DISTURBED WEATHER HAS FORMED IN THE EASTERN PACIFIC
FROM SOUTH OF THE COAST OF GUATEMALA AND EXTENDING SEVERAL HUNDRED
MILES TO THE WEST. WHILE UPPER-LEVEL WINDS ARE CURRENTLY ONLY
MARGINALLY CONDUCIVE FOR DEVELOPMENT...THEY ARE FORECAST TO BECOME
MORE FAVORABLE IN ANOTHER DAY OR SO. THIS SYSTEM HAS A LOW
CHANCE...10 PERCENT...OF BECOMING A TROPICAL CYCLONE DURING THE
NEXT 48 HOURS AS IT MOVES GENERALLY WESTWARD TO WEST-NORTHWESTWARD
AT AROUND 10 MPH.

ELSEWHERE...TROPICAL CYCLONE FORMATION IS NOT EXPECTED DURING THE
NEXT 48 HOURS.
